Newly-promoted Cardiff City agree a fee with Championship club Blackpool for the transfer of their goalscoring winger Thomas Ince, according to a report.

Cardiff City appear to have won the race to sign Blackpool star Thomas Ince after reportedly having an offer accepted for the winger.

The England Under-21 international impressed a number of Premier League clubs by scoring 18 goals in 44 Championship appearances for the Tangerines last season.

Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace were reported to be among his admirers, while Ince's former club Liverpool failed in an attempt to bring him back to Anfield in January.

It was believed that the Reds would return with a fresh bid this summer, but Sky Sports News reports that newly-promoted Cardiff have agreed a fee for the son of former England captain Paul Ince - his current manager at Bloomfield Road.

Ince would be Cardiff's first signing since they gained promotion to the top flight.
