Mark Hughes admits that QPR must now build on their win over Liverpool.

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes has said that his side must build on last night's 3-2 win over Liverpool.

The Hoops were two goals down with less than 15 minutes to go after the Reds struck twice in the second half, but the hosts came back to beat their opponents in added time when substitute Jamie Mackie found the back of the net.

"It's a great night for us," he told the club's official website. "We had huge performances all over the pitch.

"We started slow. We showed them too much respect and we looked like we were lacking confidence. But we worked back into the game and in the end weren't to be denied.

"We need to build on this now. We know there are huge challenges that lie ahead, but this will give us an incredible lift."

Rangers are now two points clear of the relegation places in the Premier League.
