Steven Gerrard has praised the influence of Craig Bellamy following Liverpool's Carling Cup semi-final victory over Manchester City.
The Welshman's goal earned the Reds a 2-2 draw on the night at Anfield and a 3-2 triumph on aggregate.
"Craig has been superb since he's come in, he's a fantastic professional who works really hard and he got his rewards here," Gerrard told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"He was a menace all night - that's what type of player he is. He's in your face, he runs in behind, he doesn't let you settle on the ball."
The Premier League side will face Championship outfit Cardiff City in the Wembley final on Sunday, February 26.
