Chesterfield have confirmed that they have agreed a fee with Championship side Leeds United for the transfer of defender Liam Cooper.
The agreement ends a prolonged pursuit by Leeds and comes not long after Leeds manager Dave Hockaday insisted earlier this month that they would not be making another bid for the 22-year-old.
Chesterfield, who last season won League Two to earn promotion to League One, said on their website that Cooper was now discussing personal terms with Leeds.
He joined the Spireites from Hull City in January 2013.
