Report: Patrice Evra nears Juventus move

A report claims that Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra is close to agreeing a two-year deal with Juventus.

Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra is reportedly close to agreeing a two-year deal with Juventus.

The French international only signed a new one-year contract with United this summer, having previously looked likely to depart on a free transfer.

The arrival of Luke Shaw from Southampton is expected to limit Evra's involvement next season and it is understood that the experienced defender is keen to seek a fresh challenge.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are confident of completing a £3m deal for Evra, who will reportedly sign a two-year contract with the Italian champions.

Should Evra depart, United are expected to step up their interest in Wolfsburg's Ricardo Rodriguez.
