Claudio Ranieri hints at title challenge

Inter boss Claudio Ranieri hints that his side could challenge for the Serie A title, despite a poor start to the season.

Inter Milan manager Claudio Ranieri has hinted that his side could challenge for the Serie A title, despite their poor start to the season.

The Nerazzuri are now fifth in the table following Wednesday night's 3-1 win at home to Lecce.

"This Christmas we wanted to win. We always say that we should make a comeback, return to where we really deserve to be. It will not be easy, but we will give everything," Ranieri said.

"The team needs to do more, we can and must do much better. The Scudetto? We take it one game at a time."

Inter return to league duties after the winter break against Parma on Saturday, January 7.
