Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City share the points in a 0-0 draw at the Galpharm Stadium this afternoon.

Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City play out a 0-0 draw in their Championship clash this afternoon.

Sean Scannell broke well for Huddersfield on nine minutes, taking the ball past several defenders before his shot was deflected wide.

James Vaughan had the first real chance of the game after 16 minutes when he got on the end of Anthony Gerrard's cross, although the striker could only head it wide.

Scannell continued to cause problems for Cardiff, running at their defence at every opportunity.

On 38 minutes, Craig Bellamy had an effort on goal, but his shot was parried away well by Alex Smithies.

The away side almost took the lead just before half time when Matthew Connolly volleyed the ball and hit the bar.

Scannell fizzed a shot at goal on 49 minutes, but the goalkeeper did well to keep it out.

Bellamy had a great chance on 61 minutes, but he fired wide from six yards out.

Both sides pushed for a winner in the last 15 minutes as the game became much more open.

However, neither side could grab a late goal and the game ended 0-0.
