Peter Taylor calls for patience from Gillingham fans

Gillingham boss Peter Taylor believes that the club's supporters should be more patient with the team following their poor start to the season.

Gillingham manager Peter Taylor has said that the club's supporters should be more understanding of the team's recent form.

The Kent outfit currently sit two points ahead of the relegation zone in League One after winning just four of their 15 fixtures this season.

"I don't think they're helping the cause," Taylor told BBC Radio Kent.

"There are too many who want to have a go at the manager, whether interim or not, or the players and that is not helping the players settle. They could be a touch more patient."

Taylor was confirmed as the club's permanent manager on Monday, having taken charge on an interim basis following the departure of Martin Allen.
