Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski, Thomas Muller and Mario Gomez all start for Joachim Low's much-fancied side.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sami Khedira will anchor the midfield, while Phillip Lahm starts in the unfamiliar position of left-back.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the Portuguese strikeforce with Nani and Helder Postiga, with Raul Meireles featuring in a three-man midfield.
