Roberto Mancini confirms Galatasaray stay

Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini confirms that he will stay in charge of the club next season.

Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed that he will remain in charge of the club next season.

The 49-year-old joined Gala last summer before guiding them to glory in the Turkish Cup and a second-placed finish in the Super Lig.

Despite rumours linking him with a return to former club Lazio, the Italian insists that he will remain in Turkey for the new campaign.

"I miss Italy; not just the family but the football," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "But I want to make it clear that I will remain at Galatasaray.

"I am under contract for a further two years and I've done well so far. Besides, we will play in the Champions League next season."

Mancini arrived at Galatasaray having enjoyed a four-year spell with Manchester City.
