Bolton Wanderers confirm that they have completed the season-long loan signing of Everton midfielder Joe Williams.

Everton have allowed midfielder Joe Williams to join Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal.

Bolton have emerged as the surprise team in the Championship, with 10 points being recorded from the club's first four games of the season.

However, the Trotters remain busy in the transfer market and manager Phil Parkinson has been successful in securing the signing of England Under-20 international Williams.

Parkinson told the club's official website: "We're pleased to have signed Joe. He's an excellent young player and is a great addition to the squad."

The 21-year-old - who is yet to make a first-team appearance for Everton - played 38 times for Barnsley in all competitions during the last campaign.
