Bolton Wanderers have reportedly emerged as strong contenders to sign Everton youngster Joe Williams.
The Trotters have enjoyed a fine start to the Championship with seven points being recorded from three games, but it appears that Phil Parkinson remains keen to add further players to his first-team squad.
According to Football Insider, Bolton are the likely destination for Williams, who does not currently feature in the plans of Toffees boss Marco Silva.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Barnsley, and Bolton are said to be looking to give the midfielder another taste of second-tier football.
The report claims that Birmingham City, Bristol City and Hull City are also in the hunt for the academy graduate.
