Derby County forward David Nugent has reportedly emerged as a loan target for Bolton Wanderers.
Nugent has played a part in two of Derby's three Championship fixtures this season, but it is unclear whether the veteran will be able to earn a regular starting role ahead of Martyn Waghorn and Jack Marriott.
According to The Sun, Bolton are keen on giving the 33-year-old the opportunity to earn regular first-team football at the Macron Stadium.
The Trotters have been the surprise team in the Championship during the early stages of the season, with seven points being recorded from three matches.
Bolton are unlikely to be able to pay Nugent's wages in full, but Derby may welcome the chance to do a deal in an attempt to make further cutbacks before the end of the month.
