Ben Garratt signs new Crewe Alexandra deal

Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Ben Garratt pens a new two-year deal with the League One club.

Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Ben Garratt has signed a two-year contract extension with the League One club.

The 20-year-old's new terms at Gresty Road are due to expire at the end of the 2015-16 season.

Garrat penned his first professional deal with Crewe last year following a spell in their youth academy.

"I wanted to get it sorted before we broke up for summer and now that's out of the way and I can just look forward to next year now," he told the club's official website.

"I'm very happy with everything. I was here till next summer anyway and now I've extended it for another year so I've got two years left, so I'm very pleased."

Crewe secured their survival on the final day of the season last Saturday with a 2-1 win over Preston North End.
