Anton Ferdinand unfazed by John Terry faceoff

Anton Ferdinand insists that his mind is on football and not John Terry ahead of QPR's clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Anton Ferdinand has insisted that he will not let his off-field issues with John Terry distract him when Queens Park Rangers meet Chelsea this weekend.

The Hoops travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, when Ferdinand will come face to face with the former England captain, who allegedly racially abused him in the reverse fixture back in October.

However, the Rangers defender has said that he will not be thinking about the incident and will only be focusing on earning QPR precious points in their battle against the drop.

"My teammates have said nothing to me about it because we are just treating it as a normal game," said Ferdinand.

"It is not about me or the current situation, it is about QPR and staying in the division.

"From our point of view we have just been focusing on preparing for a very important game and the wind has been taken out of people's sails regarding the handshake issue."

The Premier League announced on Thursday that there will be no pre-match handshakes before the game.
