Roberto Di Matteo reveals that everybody connected with the club is "delighted" to see Fernando Torres find the net.

Chelsea's interim manager Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that everybody at the club is "delighted" for Fernando Torres.

The Spaniard ended a goalscoring drought that stretched back to October by finding the net twice against Leicester City in the FA Cup earlier today.

Speaking after seeing his side progress through to the semi-finals of the competition, Di Matteo insisted that Torres was reaping the rewards for his hard work.

"The whole team, the supporters and everybody at the club are really happy for him because he's a great team player," Di Matteo told the club's official website.

"You get rewarded in this life when you work hard and we're delighted that he helped us win this game.

"Hopefully his confidence will be very high now, but I didn't mind when he wasn't scoring because as long as we win as a team that's all that matters to me."

Torres joined the Blues in January 2011 from Liverpool for £50m.
