Chelsea confirm that they are continuing investigations into alleged offensive chanting during their game against Genk earlier this month.

Chelsea are continuing their investigations into alleged chanting by fans during their recent Champions League game against Genk.

Blues fans were heard to be singing about Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand at the match in Belgium.

The chants related to the recent racism row involving Chelsea captain John Terry and Ferdinand.

Terry is currently under investigation by the Football Association and the Metropolitan Police over alleged racist comments that he made at Ferdinand in a match last month.

"Chelsea Football Club is continuing the investigation into identifying fans who participated in offensive chanting during our Champions League game against Genk," read a club statement.

"The club has been working closely with the police and Genk authorities, and all available footage of the relevant areas of the stadium is being tracked down to determine those who took part.

"The methods we employ to identify individuals or groups engaging in this offensive practice are kept under continual review, as are technological advancements that may afford us a greater degree of accuracy in identifying offenders in the future."

John Terry has been included in the England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden.
