Alan Curbishley confirms interest in Charlton Athletic job

Former Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley reveals that he would consider a return to the club following the sacking of Bob Peeters.

Former Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley has confirmed that he is interested in a return to the club.

The Addicks sacked manager Bob Peeters on Sunday due to a "downturn in results and performances".

Charlton are currently in 14th place in the Championship table following an eight-game winless run.

"If they wanted to talk to me, I would talk to them. But I think they've probably got someone lined up," Curbishley, who managed the club between 1991 and 2006, told Sky Sports News.

Charlton are back in Championship action on Saturday when they make the trip to Watford.
