Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that he wants a permanent deal for goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The 23-year-old, who is in his second loan spell at the Scottish club from Newcastle, has put in some impressive performances in his time at Celtic Park.
Lennon also said that he feels the goalkeeper's performances warrant a call-up to the England national team, while admitting that a deal to secure his future at the club is in the hands of other people.
"We have had communication with his agent, I've had a chat with Fraser this morning and we hope we can get something sorted out in the near future," said Lennon.
"You are never confident on these things but we have made our approach and told him how we see things and that we want him here.
"It is basically down to his agent, himself and Peter Lawwell to get a contract resolved."
Forster has made 58 appearances for Celtic and has also has loan spells at Stockport, Bristol Rovers and Norwich.
