Brighton & Hove Albion's £10m Thomas Delaney bid rejected?

A report claims that Brighton & Hove Albion have been told to increase their initial £10m offer for Werder Bremen midfielder Thomas Delaney.

Werder Bremen have rejected a £10m offer from Brighton & Hove Albion for box-to-box midfielder Thomas Delaney, according to a report.

The Denmark international, previously tipped to join Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, has featured 35 times for the German club this season.

Brighton were keen to make a quick move for Delaney, but the Daily Mail suggests that they have been unsuccessful with their first approach.

However, Bremen are said to be prepared to offload the 26-year-old should a figure of close to £17m be tabled.

Delaney, a £1.5m signing from FC Copenhagen in January 2017, has three goals and six assists in all competitions this season.
