Luiz Felipe Scolari: 'World Cup experience important'

Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari says that his side's previous World Cup experience will prove crucial to their chances of victory this summer.

Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has said that his side's previous World Cup experience will prove crucial to their chances of victory this summer.

Scolari announced his 23-man-squad for the tournament this afternoon and admitted that it is vital they win the Cup in front of their home fans.

"We have six players with real World Cup experience," he told reporters. "That could be important for us during the course of the competition.

"The only thing we want to do is to win the World Cup and it is up to me to create the best environment possible in order to make that happen.

"With the national team doctors, we will work to ensure the players are in the best possible physical and mental condition for the tournament. That is what the friendlies are for."

Five-time winners Brazil will play Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon in the group stages.
