Friday's Barcelona transfer talk news roundup: Angelino, Georginio Wijnaldum, David Alaba

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Barcelona on Friday, November 13.

The summer transfer window has now closed, shutting the door on one of the most turbulent spells in Barcelona's history.

The Spanish giants were rocked by Lionel Messi's request to leave the club, sparking a bitter contract dispute which ultimately ended with the six-time Ballon d'Or winner reluctantly agreeing to stay for at least another season.

Other notable names such as Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal did leave, though, while Messi's future is sure to be the subject of much more speculation going forward.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news from the Camp Nou.

Friday morning's Barcelona transfer talk news roundup:

Barcelona regard Angelino as 'dream player'?

Barcelona allegedly remain interested in securing a future deal for Manchester City defender Angelino.

Having failed to make an impact at the Etihad Stadium, the left-sided player is currently impressing on loan at RB Leizpig, where he has been since January.

The 23-year-old has already contributed six goals and six assists from 29 appearances, a return which has seemingly not gone unnoticed in his homeland.

According to Bild, Barcelona regard Angelino as their 'dream player' as they consider a future offer for the Spaniard.

While Leipzig are expected to complete a permanent deal in 2021, Angelino may be prepared to keep his options open due to never featuring in La Liga.

Angelino still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his City contract.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman hints at move for Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has once again hinted that the club could look to sign Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool in the future.

Wijnaldum, who played under Koeman during the latter's time as Netherlands boss, is in the final year of his contract at Anfield and recently refused to answer questions on his future at the club.

Koeman has made no secret of his desire to bring the 30-year-old to Camp Nou and will be free to discuss terms with the midfielder from January unless he signs fresh terms at Liverpool before then.

"He's very good but he's playing for Liverpool. He could be an option in the future. I can't say more," Koeman told Sport.

The Barca boss has also publicly courted Lyon forward Memphis Depay but admitted that a January move for him would rely on the club's fragile financial situation.

"I don't know. There are various parties involved: Barca, his club and, of course, the financial part. I don't want to talk about this a lot," he added.

"I prefer to talk about players that are here. Everyone knows the positions I have said I would like to strengthen but it all depends on the club's financial situation."

Barcelona currently sit eighth in La Liga having won only three of their opening seven games.
