Aston Villa's Jack Grealish posts message following failed move

Jack Grealish insists that he is ready to "get to work" with Aston Villa this season, having failed to engineer a move away from the Championship outfit.

Jack Grealish has insisted that he is ready to "get to work" with Aston Villa this season, having failed to engineer a move away from the Championship outfit in the final days of the summer transfer window.

Grealish was involved in Villa's 3-1 win over Hull City in the Championship on Monday night, but was widely expected to leave Villa Park before the transfer window closed.

Tottenham Hotspur were strongly linked with a move, while Chelsea were also believed to be considering an approach.

Fresh investment meant that Villa were able to keep hold of their key players, however, and Grealish has now broken his silence on social media.

Villa will look to make it back-to-back Championship wins when they host Wigan Athletic this weekend.
