Jakob Poulsen leaves AS Monaco to return home

AS Monaco allow Jakob Poulsen to leave the club and return to FC Midtjylland.

AS Monaco have paved the way for some more January signings by allowing Jakob Poulsen to return to FC Midtjylland.

The 30-year-old midfielder moved to the Principality outfit from the same club in the summer of 2012, but he switches back to the Danish side after failing to make an impact at the Stade Louis II.

A statement from the Superligaen side read: "FC Midtjylland have agreed with AS Monaco for the purchase of Jakob Poulsen.

"FC Midtjylland still need to agree with Jakob Poulsen over the player's personal contract, but the club expects that the contract will be signed."

Poulsen made just 23 appearances for Monaco.
