Swansea City defender Ashley Williams says that he is flattered by rumours linking him with other clubs.

Swansea City defender Ashley Williams has claimed that he treats reported interest from other clubs as a "compliment".

The Wales international, who has previously been linked to both Liverpool and Arsenal, has admitted that he is unsure about what the future holds.

"It means you're doing something right and people are talking about you at least," Williams told Sky Sports News.

"I take it as a compliment. I don't really read the papers and that type of thing. You don't really know, as that's the future, and I can't really say. Different circumstances determine different things."

Williams is now the new Swansea captain following Garry Monk's decision to hand over the armband.
