Report: Arsenal to move for Barcelona's Martin Montoya

A report claims that Arsenal want to sign Barcelona defender Martin Montoya in January.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly hopeful of signing Barcelona defender Martin Montoya for a reduced fee in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old's current contract expires at the end of the season, but it is believed that the Catalan outfit are keen to offer the Spaniard fresh terms.

However, according to The Mirror, Wenger will attempt to test Barcelona's resolve in January with a view to signing the right-back.

Napoli were heavily linked with the defender in the summer window.
