Arsenal are reportedly plotting a January move for Barcelona forward David Villa.
The 31-year-old Spain international has only started six La Liga matches this season and rumours in Spain claim that he may be allowed to leave the Nou Camp on a short-term basis in order to play more first-team football.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is said to be on the lookout for an established striker to bolster his attack and, according to the Daily Mail, the Frenchman has expressed his desire to bring Villa to the Emirates Stadium.
Villa signed for Barcelona from Valencia for a transfer fee of £34m in May 2010.
