Fulham boss Martin Jol denies that the club have received any bids for top-goalscorer Clint Dempsey and insists that the American's future remains in the Cottagers' hands.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has reiterated his intention to keep top-goalscorer Clint Dempsey at the club.

The 29-year-old Texan is reportedly a summer transfer target for Arsenal, however Jol insists that the Cottagers have not received any bids for the player.

"Keeping him is in our own hands," explained the Dutchman. "There have been no bids for Clint. Over the last couple of years not one.

"I don't think he is for sale. He will hopefully be here because I want to keep my best players.

"You always worry. I feel if we can keep all the players we've got now and with one, two, maybe three, additions we can be a very good squad."

Liverpool are also said to be tracking Dempsey. The Reds' chairman Tom Werner had claimed that any team would be lucky to have him in their squad.
