Arsene Wenger claims that Brendan Rodgers deserves credit for the job he's done at Swansea.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers deserves credit for the job that he has done with the club.

Wenger, who has watched Rodgers introduce similar tactics to those at the Emirates in his time at the Welsh club, believes that the Northern Irishman will stick to his principles regardless of their league standing.

"They remind me a little bit of Blackpool last year," he said. "They play with freedom, a positive style going forward.

"You have to give credit to the manager for doing that. They are brave but they go through their wingers and keep possession. They do not throw all their bodies forward.

"They pass the ball well. I don't think they will change their style, no matter what happens."

The Frenchman takes Arsenal to Wales to take on Rodgers and Swansea this afternoon.
