Abou Diaby: 'I feel like a beast'

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby remains defiant over his fitness, despite enduring an injury-plagued season.

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has claimed that he 'feels like a beast', despite enduring an injury-plagued season for the Gunners.

The 25-year-old was taken off just 25 minutes into his comeback against Liverpool last weekend with an ankle problem.

The latest injury means that the Frenchman has played barely an hour of football for Arsene Wenger's side this season.

"I am not scared for the rest of my career. I still have a big future," Diaby told the club's official website.

"Physically, I really feel very good, like a beast. Unfortunately, I had that little problem at Liverpool but it's nothing serious and I will start running again at the end of the week.

"I have had three operations on my ankle, all for different problems but the result of that was that my body is unbalanced, especially in my legs.
I have overused one over the other and to put everything back in place is not easy.

"

Diaby moved to Arsenal from French club Auxerre in 2006.
