Cech questions Arsenal playoff

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech believes that a potential playoff against Arsenal would be "extraordinary".

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech believes that competing in a Premier League playoff with Arsenal will be unlikely.

The rivals could go head-to-head for the final Champions League qualification spot if they finish the season level on points, goal difference and goals scored.

"I know this is the rule, but we beat them twice over the course of the season, home and away, so a playoff would be really extraordinary," BBC Sport quotes Cech as saying.

Meanwhile, Cech and his teammates will head into their final league fixture against Everton as Europa League winners.
