Nicklas Bendtner: 'I'm good enough for Juventus'

Nicklas Bendtner says that he can still be a hit at Juventus, despite his poor start to his loan spell.

Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner has insisted that he can still succeed at Juventus despite a disappointing start to his tenure in Italy.

The striker is currently at the Bianconeri on a season-long loan from Arsenal, but has only made nine appearances since making his debut for the Serie A champions in September.

Despite being out injured until the middle of February with a torn abductor muscle, the 24-year-old is adamant that he can still make an impact at Juve.

"No-one should misunderstand me and think that I do not want to play every single game or that I do not even think I am good enough to play every game. But I am reasonably confident," Bendtner told Danish broadcaster DR1.

"I like it here and I still believe that my chance will come and that I probably will succeed at Juventus if all goes well.

"I felt it was time for a change, time for a new culture and a new country. After so many years in England, I felt that I needed a new start."

Bendtner spent the entirety of last season on loan at Sunderland.
