Chelsea injury, suspension news and return dates vs. Bournemouth: Madueke, Fofana, Badiashile

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Fresh from snapping a four-game winless sequence, Chelsea endeavour to get back on track in the Premier League when they square up to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening.

Enzo Maresca's men returned to triumphant ways with a 5-0 hammering of Morecambe in the FA Cup third round on Saturday, slaughtering the Shrimps thanks to efforts from Joao Felix (2), Tosin Adarabioyo (2) and Christopher Nkunku.

However, the Blues have fallen short in each of their last four Premier League contests, most recently being held to a 1-1 draw by London rivals Crystal Palace to fall 10 points behind leaders Liverpool - who still have a game in hand - in the top-flight table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of the visit of Bournemouth, who demolished West Bromwich Albion 5-1 in cup action at the weekend.

Noni Madueke

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Bournemouth)

Noni Madueke was a surprise absentee from the matchday squad against Morecambe, but Maresca revealed post-match that the winger was suffering from an illness, making him a doubt for Tuesday's tie as well.

Wesley Fofana

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Wesley Fofana and Maresca have clashed over the former's recovery time from a hamstring injury, as the Chelsea boss expects him to miss the rest of the season, while the defender is targeting a return in March. Either way, he will not be available for the visit of the Cherries.

Benoit Badiashile

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 14 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

Fellow defender Benoit Badiashile sustained a thigh problem in training last month, and Maresca has conceded that the former Monaco man will be absent until February.

Summer signing Omari Kellyman is yet to make his Blues bow due to a serious hamstring injury, and there has still been no update on when the fledgling playmaker might be considered for selection again.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been nursing an unspecified injury since Christmas and is not expected to be involved in Tuesday's game, although the midfielder would not have pushed for a starting place either way.
