Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta reportedly draws up a seven-man transfer wishlist, which includes five midfielders and two strikers.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has drawn up a seven-man transfer wishlist, according to a report.

The Gunners are set to be active in this month's transfer window, with the Spaniard revealing last week that he is looking to sign a new midfielder.

According to the Daily Mirror, Arteta has identified five centre-midfield targets, including Leicester City's Youri Tielemans, whose agent is believed to have spent time at Arsenal's training ground.

Lyon's Bruno Guimaraes is another player that Arteta is keen to recruit, with the Brazilian previously acknowledging that the Gunners have approached his agent over a proposed move to the Emirates Stadium.

Palmeiras's 20-year-old star Danilo, Paris Saint-Germain's Georginio Wijnaldum, and Juventus's Arthur are the final three midfield targets, and the latter is understood to be in advanced negotiations with Arsenal regarding a potential loan move to North London.

In addition, Arteta has two highly-rated attackers on his wishlist, with Lille forward Jonathan David identified as an alternative to their primary target Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina, who could cost up to £150m.

While Arsenal will likely face stern competition from the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid for Vlahovic's services, the Gunners are prepared to break the bank to land the 21-year-old in January.
