Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg has warned that his side will be "ready" for South Africa when they meet at the Rugby World Cup.
The Springboks were on the receiving end of one of the biggest shocks in rugby history when they went down 34-32 to Japan in their opening Pool B fixture last Saturday, but they remain favourites to progress into the quarter-finals.
Scotland moved to the top of the group with a bonus-point victory over Japan at Kingsholm Stadium this afternoon, and Hogg is confident that they can pile more misery on Heyneke Meyer's side when they meet in Newcastle on October 3.
"I think for them we'll just let them be and concentrate on ourselves, and when it comes to us playing them we'll be ready for them," he told Sports Mole.
Before that showdown, Scotland must first face USA on Sunday, while South Africa take on Samoa on Saturday.
