Angel di Maria: 'I will not celebrate against Real Madrid'

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Angel di Maria insists that he will not celebrate against former club Real Madrid on Wednesday, should he find the back of the net in Paris.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Angel di Maria has revealed that he will not celebrate if he scores in Wednesday's Champions League Group A match against Real Madrid.

The Argentine spent four years at the Bernabeu from 2010 to 2014 and played a key role in their Champions League success in the 2013-14 campaign.

The 27-year-old is expected to line up against his former club in Paris later this week, but there will be no celebration if he manages to find the back of the net.

"I won't celebrate if I score because I haven't forgotten what I experienced in Madrid with La Decima. It was unforgettable," he told Canal+.

"Playing against Madrid is great because in my last match at the Bernabeu, before going to Manchester United, the entire stadium stood up for me. Upon my arrival in Paris, I told my wife, 'you'll see how we get paired up with Real Madrid', and I wasn't wrong."

Di Maria left Real Madrid for Manchester United in the summer of 2014, but moved on to Paris in the most recent transfer window after struggling to settle in England.
