Rob Elliot, Daryl Janmaat fit for Newcastle United

Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren reveals that both Rob Elliot and Daryl Janmaat are available for the club's match at Bournemouth.

Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren has revealed that goalkeeper Rob Elliot will be fit enough to start Saturday's game at Bournemouth.

Elliot had been a doubt after a recurrence of a thigh problem, but the Republic of Ireland stopper, as well as defender Daryl Janmaat, has been passed fit ahead of the trip to the South Coast.

The 54-year-old told reporters: "Keeper Rob Elliot is fit to play. We have gave him enough time, rest and recovery and he's trained the last two days.

"Daryl Janmaat is fit as well. We've got a few injuries on the periphery and we are looking for consistency in our team."

Newcastle will move above Bournemouth in the standings if they can record just their second win of the campaign.
