A number of Turkish clubs reportedly enquire about a potential loan move for Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.

Manchester United have reportedly received a number of loan enquiries from Turkish clubs for Mason Greenwood.

In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and he was further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.

Greenwood was also charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and causing actual bodily harm.

A trial date was initially set for November, however, it was recently revealed that all criminal charges against the 21-year-old have been dropped.

In response to the developments, a Man United statement read: "Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped."

"The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete."

Since the charges were dropped, Greenwood has reportedly spoken with Man United boss Erik ten Hag over the phone, while he has also met up with some of his teammates.

A recent report claimed that he has also recently held his first face-to-face meeting with the club's hierarchy.

While Man United are currently conducting an investigation before they decide whether to reintegrate Greenwood back into the squad, the Englishman is believed to be attracting interest from Turkey.

According to journalist Mike McGrath, Man United have received loan enquiries for Greenwood from a number of Turkish clubs.

The report goes on to state that none of the clubs that showed an interest have decided to pursue a loan deal.

The Turkish transfer window was due to close on February 18, but it has been extended to March 5 by the country's football federation.

Although it is currently unclear which Turkish clubs made an enquiry, Fenerbahce have previously been linked with a potential move for Greenwood.

The former England international has been with the Red Devils since the age of six and currently has a contract until June 2025, with the option of an additional year.

Greenwood has made 129 appearances for Man United across all competitions, registering 35 goals and 12 assists.
