Manchester City are reportedly 'in advanced talks' over a summer deal for Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes has been in incredible form for Sporting Lisbon during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring 31 times and contributing 17 assists in 50 appearances in all competitions.
Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the Portugal international in recent weeks.
However, according to Goal, City are in the driving seat for the 24-year-old, with super-agent Jorge Mendes 'called in to broker a move', which could cost the English side £43m plus two players.
The attacking midfielder joined Sporting from Sampdoria in 2017 and has helped the Portuguese giants land two Taca da Liga crowns during the last two campaigns.
An 11-time Portugal international, Fernandes, who scored a hat-trick in Sporting's 8-1 win over Belenenses on Sunday, has also been linked with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks.
