Both Leroy Sane and David Alaba are out of contract at Manchester City and Bayern Munich respectively next summer.

Bayern Munich reportedly offered Manchester City the chance to sign David Alaba as part of their efforts to land Leroy Sane.

The 24-year-old has not featured for Pep Guardiola's side this season through injury, but he has been persistently linked with a return to his native Germany recently.

According to Bild, Alaba, whose contract at Bayern expires next summer, was suggested by agent Pini Zahavi to be included in a deal for Sane.

However, the report also claims that neither the defender nor Zahavi wanted to go through with the deal in the end, and Alaba would allegedly prefer a move to La Liga should he end up leaving the Bundesliga champions.

Sane has registered 39 goals in 134 games for City since arriving from Schalke 04 in 2016.
