Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri rejects reports Leonardo Ulloa has asked to leave

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri rejects reports that Leonardo Ulloa has told the club that he wants to leave.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has rejected reports that striker Leonardo Ulloa has asked to leave the club.

The 29-year-old has been part of the Foxes since his £8m move from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2014, but he struggled for a starting spot last season.

The Argentine made 29 appearances, but started just seven of them as Leicester went on to win their first ever Premier League title.

It was reported today that the English champion are refusing to offer Ulloa an improved contract, therefore prompting the forward to look for another club.

However, Ranieri has insisted that the rumours are false.

"It is not true because no-one asks me something and it is only speculation," Ranieri told reporters in a press conference. "The player is very happy. He works in the training session and in the last match very well.

"I am very happy with him and with all my players. My plan is to keep all my players. N'Golo Kante wanted to go and good luck to him, but the others all want to stay."

Kante joined Chelsea last week for a reported £32m fee.
