Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has said that Roberto Di Matteo has helped him through his difficult time at the club.
The Spaniard, who has scored a total of 12 goals since arriving at Stamford Bridge, insists that his relationship with the Italian is "honest and clear". Meanwhile, he aims to prove that he can be an indispensable member of Di Matteo's side.
"[Our relationship] is smooth, honest and clear," Torres told his official website.
"We dialogue a lot, and I hope to convince him that I can be someone indispensable.
"I will keep working and respect his decisions. He helped me at a critical time and I am grateful to him. He has proved he knew what he was doing."
Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool for a record £50m.
