Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho expects future stadium bans for "lots of managers"

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that he expects "lots of managers" to be given stadium bans in the future.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has predicted that the Football Association will give "lots of managers" stadium bans in the future.

The Portuguese coach will not be allowed to enter the Britannia Stadium with his team when they take on Stoke City on Saturday.

Mourinho has been hit with a one-match stadium ban after confronting referee Jonathan Moss during Chelsea's 2-1 defeat to West Ham United last month.

"One thing is not to be on the bench - I'm stopped being in a football stadium," Mourinho told reporters in today's press conference. "I'm stopped being in what I love so much which is football. When I go into the punishment, it opens a range of options.

"I imagine there will be lots of managers with stadium bans in the future. Bans should be something really serious in terms of aggressivity, using words I don't want to use. This one is about words, about campaigns.

"It could happen a lot more. Unless we have our association or other associations around Europe to talk about the rights of the managers and having stadium bans as I mentioned. From my point of view, from my side, I want to be out of it. I want to let the game tomorrow finish. That's it."

Chelsea have only won three Premier League games so far this season.
