Jose Mourinho decides against appealing one-match stadium ban

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho decides against appealing his one-match stadium ban, meaning that he will be absent from Saturday's game against Stoke City.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has decided not to appeal against an immediate one-match stadium ban enforced by the Football Association.

The Portuguese coach was issued with the ban as punishment for confronting referee Jonathan Moss during Chelsea's 2-1 defeat to West Ham United last month.

This means that the 52-year-old will not be permitted to travel with his team to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday when they take on Stoke City in the Premier League.

When asked in today's press conference if he is going to appeal the ban, Mourinho said: "No, because match is tomorrow, and I know result of that appeal already, so I decided to give up."

Chelsea have only managed to win three of their 11 league games this season.
