Chelsea are accused of taaunting Manchester City players following their 2-1 victory last night.

Chelsea have been accused of taunting Manchester City players last night following their 2-1 win over the league leaders.

The Blues sealed the victory with a late penalty from substitute Frank Lampard, and City boss Roberto Mancini accused Chelsea's celebrations of spilling over into the tunnel.

"I don't know what they said," the Italian commented. "I didn't understand it.

"But if the Chelsea players are saying we are a top team, for us that is important. There were really lively because they beat a top team. It's normal. It's important for them."

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas responded to Mancini's accusations, saying: "It's not true and it is not fair. But it doesn't matter now.

"It was a very gratifying win. It has been a good week for us and I think it changes our challenge for the Premier League.

"Seven points in this league, with so many teams competing for the title, is nothing. There are a lot of games to be played."

Chelsea are now third in the Premier League with 31 points from 15 games.
