Andre Villas-Boas rejects Roberto Mancini's criticism of Mark Clattenburg's performance in Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Man City tonight.

Andre Villas-Boas has dismissed complaints made by Roberto Mancini regarding referee Mark Clattenburg's performance in Chelsea's 2-1 win over the league leaders at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Mancini believes Clattenburg should have awarded City a first-half penalty when Jose Bosingwa brought down David Silva, while Chelsea were awarded a spot kick when Joleon Lescott was adjudged to have handled Daniel Sturridge's cross.

However when asked about the incident, Villas-Boas disagreed and thinks the Spaniard should have been booked for diving.

"I am really surprised that you asked me this because I am not sure what you are speaking about," he said.

"For me it looked like he did not touch him and if he didn't touch him it should be a yellow card for Silva.

"That is my opinion but I'll have to confirm to make sure."

Frank Lampard and Raul Meireles goals saw the Blues come from behind to end City's unbeaten start to the season.
