Cardiff City have confirmed the signing of defender Gabriel Tamas on a one-year deal, subject to international clearance.
The 31-year-old moves to South Wales as a free agent following his departure from Steaua Bucuresti.
Tamas, whose former clubs include Galatasaray, West Bromwich Albion and Watford, has been capped 65 times by Romania.
"I wanted to return to English football and out of a few offers, decided that Cardiff City was the club I wanted to come to," he told the Bluebirds' official website.
"I've met up with the manager and a few of the boys who I remember playing against during my time in the UK. I'm looking forward to training with the boys and getting out there."
Cardiff are in action on Saturday when they make the trip to Nottingham Forest in the Championship.
