Arsene Wenger hails the fantastic, humble attitude of Santi Cazorla following his match-winning brace against Aston Villa last weekend.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised the "fantastic" attitude of Santi Cazorla after his match-winning performance against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Cazorla scored in either half against Paul Lambert's side to ensure the Gunners finished a tough week with a 2-1 victory in the Premier League.

Wenger believes that Cazorla has shown his commitment to the cause at the Emirates Stadium by playing across midfield and out wide so far this season.

He told The Mirrror: "He fights until the last second of the game and gives absolutely everything. You tell him to play left, yes, central, yes, right, yes.

"He doesn't say, 'I can only play in the middle'. He has a fantastic, humble attitude to help the team and he plays where he's needed, that is fantastic.

"He's so short and with a low centre of gravity, a bit like Jack Wilshere. So his change of direction is very good. You don't know if he is right-footed or left-footed. I don't really know myself."

The 28-year-old has scored 11 times this season, becoming the first Arsenal player to reach double figures in his first Premier League campaign since Thierry Henry.
