Jack Wilshere: "World-class" Petr Cech can win Arsenal title

Jack Wilshere says that the acquisition of "world-class" Petr Cech can transform Arsenal into title challengers ahead of the 2015-16 Premier League season.

Jack Wilshere has claimed that signing the "world-class" Petr Cech could be the missing piece in Arsenal's jigsaw ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Gunners have gone 11 years without clinching the title, but the FA Cup winners gave rise to suggestions that one could be on the way by recruiting Cech from Chelsea.

The 33-year-old helped the Blues to 13 major trophies - including four league titles and a Champions League - in an illustrious spell in West London.

"We want to win the league, of course we do," he told the club's official website.

"We feel we've been together a few years now, we've brought in world-class players who have had time to settle.

"We've added a world-class keeper with all of his experience, he's been there and he's done it, he's won everything. So we really feel we're in a strong position."

Arsenal, who meet Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday, kick off their league campaign by hosting West Ham United on August 9.
