Cesc Fabregas praises Arsene Wenger's influence

Cesc Fabregas reveals that he owes his passion for attacking football to the education provided by Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he owes much of his playing style to the influence of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Fabregas spent eight years in North London, earning a reputation as a goalscoring playmaker during his time in the Premier League.

The Spanish international believes that his ability to get forward and create chances is down to the education provided by Wenger at Arsenal.

He told French football magazine So Foot: "Wenger showed me a lot, he let me find by myself the player I was meant to be.

"He always said to me, 'Forward, Cesc, forward! Attack! Attack!' From a young age I heard him say that.

"What he loves is seeing his team take initiative and create chances. What he loves is goals. For example, if at 3-0 up we could still score two more, he'd push us to do so."

Fabregas played more than 300 times for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring 57 goals.
